Do I need to have a medical report/referral/diagnosis to have an evaluation?
It is not necessary. Occupational Therapy is an autonomous discipline and Occupational Therapists are properly trained to identify dysfunctions in a person's occupational performance and/or skill deficits and/or barriers in a client's environment.
Are Occupational Therapy sessions being covered by the Greek National Organization for the Provision of Health Services (EOPYY)?
If you have a medical report with prescribed Occupational Therapy sessions, in addition to the service rendered receipt, we can also provide you with a written affirmation for the provision of services, along with the other necessary documentation in order for you to submit a claim for reimbursement of special education therapeutic services to your insurance provider.
What is the procedure for submitting a claim for reimbursement of Occupational Therapy sessions to the Greek National Organization for the Provision of Health Services (EOPYY)?
1. If you are the parent to whom the child is insured, visit the Health Insurance Record at EOPYY's website and log in to your account. You can choose to log in with your TAXISNET credentials.
In either case, you will be asked to fill in your Social Security Registration Number (AMKA).
2. Select the green button labelled "Υποβολή Ατομικού Αιτήματος" ("Submit a Personal Benefit Application").
3. In the field under "Θέμα Αιτήματος" ("Subject of the Application") select "Ειδική Αγωγή" ("Special Education") and in the field "T. Κ." fill in your postal code.
Fill in the fields in the section "Στοιχεία Ασφαλισμένου" ("Insured Information") with your child's information and your information in the "Στοιχεία Επικοινωνίας" ("Contact Information") and "Στοιχεία Δικαιούχου" ("Beneficiary Information") sections.
In the "Στοιχεία Παραπεμπτικού/Γνωμάτευσης" ("Referral/Report Information") section, select your Medical Report number.
4. Attach all the required documents [Πρωτότυπη Ηλεκτρονική Γνωμάτευση (Original Electronic Medical Report), Απόδειξη Παροχής Υπηρεσιών (Service Rendered Receipt), Βεβαίωση του Θεραπευτή (Therapist’s Affirmation for Provision of Service), Υπεύθυνη Δήλωση (Solemn Declaration), Βεβαίωση Δραστηριοτήτων Επιχείρησης (Certificate of Business Activities), Άδεια Άσκησης Επαγγέλματος Θεραπευτή (Therapist's Professional License) and Φωτοτυπία Τραπεζικού Λογαριασμού (Photocopy of your Bank Account)] and after reading the obligation to keep the documents, put ✔️ in the box and complete the process by clicking on "Υποβολή Αιτήματος" ("Submit the Application").
